Heart Garland

Bring a little love to your living area with this activity!

Alternate the different sizes and colors to create your own unique wall or window garland.

This activity engages our planning and problem solving skills. By practicing these skills in an activity like this, we'll be better equipped to plan and problem solve in our everyday lives.

Supplies:

  • Pink, red, and white doilies
  • String
  • Glue dots (optional)

Instructions:

There are two different ways you can complete this activity!

OPTION 1

  1. Lay out your hearts in 5 columns to plan how you want each strand of garland to look. (Save the 6th piece of string until the end.)
  2. Thread the string through the top and bottom holes in the doilies, leaving space at the top and in between each heart.
  3. Tie the strands of garland to the top piece of string and hang from a window, door, or wall.

OPTION 2

  1. Lay out your hearts in 5 columns to plan how you want each strand of garland to look. (Save the 6th piece of string until the end.)
  2. Attach glue dots to the back of the doilies (top and bottom) and stick the string to it.
  3. Tie the strands of garland to the top piece of string and hang from a window, door, or wall.
